Complete Detail About Metformin 500 MG Tablet

Metformin 500 MG tablet is a medicine that helps maintain a balanced blood sugar level in the body. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and polycystic ovary syndrome. Metformin 500 MG tablet is an oral medication used to control and balance blood sugar levels.

Metformin 500 MG tablets work by reducing the amount of glucose produced by the liver. It inhibits the amount of glucose released by the liver in the body. As a result, it lowers blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. Metformin 500 MG tablets can also increase your sensitivity to insulin, allowing your body to absorb more glucose.

This drug is used to treat diseases such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and polycystic ovary syndrome. If you don't control the condition of diabetes, it may lead to kidney failure, obesity, and heart disease. Therefore, Metformin 500 MG tablets can help maintain low blood sugar levels and control diabetes.

Metformin 500 MG tablet does not increase the amount of insulin in the body; on the contrary, it reduces the production of sugar. The liver of patients with type 2 diabetes produces three times the amount of glucose, and their body does not have the ability to absorb these large amounts of glucose.

Metformin 500 MG tablets can effectively reduce the amount of glucose released by the liver. It can also reduce appetite and increase the body's sensitivity to insulin, thereby reducing the amount of glucose absorbed by the blood. Increased sensitivity to insulin will also lower your cholesterol levels and help you lose weight.

In some cases, patients in certain situations are advised to avoid taking this drug. Pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and children under ten should not take this medicine. If you suffer from the following diseases, you should also inform your doctor before taking this medicine-

  • Liver disease
  • Kidney disease
  • heart disease
  • allergy
  • Diabetic ketoacidosis.

If you notice any side effects, you should seek emergency medical assistance. It is important to avoid alcohol while taking this medicine because it increases the risk of lactic acidosis.

The dosage of metformin 500 MG tablets recommended by your doctor for treatment will depend on your age, condition, the severity of the condition, and other medicines you are currently taking. You should follow this course of treatment until it is complete, and do not skip the dose.

Side Effects of Imatinib

Upset stomach, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, headache, muscle/joint pain, muscle cramps, dizziness, blurred vision, or drowsiness may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

People using this medication may have serious side effects. However, your doctor has prescribed this drug because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Careful monitoring by your doctor may decrease your risk.

Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: easy bruising/bleeding, unusual tiredness, sudden/unexplained weight gain, swelling hands/ankles/feet/abdomen, swelling around the eyes, shortness of breath, fast heartbeat, black/bloody stools, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, symptoms of liver disease (such as nausea/vomiting that doesn't stop, loss of appetite, stomach/abdominal pain, yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine).

This medication may lower your ability to fight infections. This may make you more likely to get a serious infection or make any infection you have worse. Tell your doctor right away if you have any signs of infection (such as sore throat that doesn't go away, fever, chills).

Imatinib sometimes causes side effects due to the rapid destruction of cancer cells (tumor lysis syndrome). To lower your risk, drink plenty of fluids unless your doctor directs you otherwise. Also, your doctor may prescribe an additional medication. Tell your doctor right away if you have symptoms such as: low back/side pain (flank pain), signs of kidney problems (such as painful urination, pink/bloody urine, change in the amount of urine), muscle spasms/weakness.

Imatinib can commonly cause a rash that is usually not serious. However, you may not be able to tell it apart from a rare rash that could be a sign of a severe reaction. Get medical help right away if you develop any rash.

A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.

This is not a complete list of possible side effects. If you notice any other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

How to use Imatinib MESYLATE

How to use imatinib mesylate

If you have difficulty swallowing the entire tablet, you can dissolve the tablet in a glass of water or apple juice. The amount of liquid depends on your dose. For more detailed instructions, please consult your doctor or pharmacist. Stir the mixture well until the tablets dissolve, then drink immediately.

The dosage depends on your health, response to treatment, and other medications you may be taking. Be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist about all the products you use (including prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs, and herbal products). For children, the dosage also depends on their size.

Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while using this medication unless your doctor or pharmacist says you can do it safely. Grapefruit will increase the chance of side effects of this drug. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.

Do not increase the dose or use this medication more frequently or for longer than the prescribed time. Your condition will not improve faster, and your risk of side effects will increase.

Because this drug can be absorbed through the skin and lungs and may harm an unborn baby, women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant should not come into contact with this drug or inhale dust from the tablets.

The dosage depends on your health, size, and response to treatment. Before each cycle, you should perform blood tests to find the best dose for you and determine if you have to wait before you can receive this medicine again.

Before you receive this medication, your doctor may direct you to take antipyretics, antihistamines, and corticosteroids (such as dexamethasone) to help prevent side effects. Use these additional medicines exactly as directed by your doctor. (See also the side effects section.)

If bendamustine leaks from a vein into the surrounding area, it may cause severe skin and tissue damage. Remember, your doctor prescribed this medicine because he or she judged that the benefits to you outweigh the risks of side effects. Many people who use this drug do not have serious side effects.

If you have any serious side effects Because Trulicity, please tell your doctor immediately, including: slow/irregular heartbeat, signs of kidney problems (such as changes in urine output), changes in vision.

Constant vomiting/diarrhea can cause severe body water loss (dehydration) and kidney problems. If you notice any symptoms of dehydration, such as abnormally reduced urination, dry mouth/thirst, fast heartbeat, or dizziness/lightheadedness, please contact your doctor immediately.

If you have any very serious side effects, seek medical help immediately, including: signs of pancreatitis (such as persistent nausea/vomiting, severe stomach/abdominal/back pain).

Although duraglutide by itself does not usually cause hypoglycemia (hypoglycemia), if this drug is prescribed with other diabetes medications, hypoglycemia may occur. Drinking a lot of alcohol, not getting enough calories from food or engaging in unusually strenuous exercise can also cause hypoglycemia. Symptoms may include sudden sweating, trembling, rapid heartbeat, hunger, blurred vision, dizziness, or tingling of hands/foot. It is a good habit to carry glucose tablets or gels to treat hypoglycemia. If you do not have these reliable forms of glucose, please use instant sugar (such as table sugar, honey or candy) or drink fruit juice or non-edible soda to raise blood sugar quickly. Tell your doctor immediately about the reaction and use of the product. To help prevent hypoglycemia, eat regularly and don’t skip meals. Contact your doctor or pharmacist to find out what to do if you miss a meal.

Inject this medication under the skin in the thigh, abdomen, or upper arm as directed by your doctor, usually once every 7 days. Do not inject into a vein or muscle. It may be used with or without meals.

If you are also using insulin, give dulaglutide and insulin as separate injections. Do not mix them. You may inject these medications in the same area of the body, but the injection sites should not be next to each other.

There may be nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, diarrhea, weakness, or a metallic taste in the mouth. If these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist immediately. If you have stomach symptoms later (a few days or weeks after taking the same dose), tell your doctor immediately. Metformin usually does not cause hypoglycemia (hypoglycemia). If this medication is prescribed with other diabetes medications, hypoglycemia may occur. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you need to lower the dose of other diabetes medications.

Symptoms of hypoglycemia include sudden sweating, trembling, rapid heartbeat, hunger, blurred vision, dizziness or tingling of hands/foot. It is a good habit to carry glucose tablets or gels to treat hypoglycemia. If you do not have these reliable forms of glucose, please use instant sugar (such as table sugar, honey or candy) or drink fruit juice or non-dietary soda to raise blood sugar quickly. Tell the doctor about the reaction immediately. If you drink a lot of alcohol, unusually strenuous exercise, or don't get enough calories from food, you are more likely to have low blood sugar. To help prevent hypoglycemia, eat regularly and don’t skip meals. Contact your doctor or pharmacist to find out what to do if you miss a meal.

Symptoms of high blood sugar (hyperglycemia) include thirst, increased urination, confusion, drowsiness, flushing, rapid breathing, and fruity breath odor. If these symptoms occur, tell your doctor right away. Your doctor may need to adjust your diabetes medication(s).

Stop taking this medication and tell your doctor right away if this very serious side effect occurs: lactic acidosis (see Warning section).

A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any of the following symptoms of a serious allergic reaction: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
